American punk/roots folk band from Los Angeles, California co-founded by Chris D. and wife (at-the-time) Julie Christensen in 1983 after the split of The Flesh Eaters and in the wake of D.'s first solo record, "Time Stands Still" (which was credited as "Chris D./Divine Horseman" and which Julie sang on). The band’s name is derived from a Flesh Eaters song on the 'A Minute To Pray A Second To Die' LP.
Divine Horsemen were active until 1988, when band and couple split. A planned reformation and tour in 2018 was cancelled due to bassist Robyn Jameson's tragic murder. The band reformed to record in Autumn 2019 with D., Christensen, guitarist Peter Andrus, drummer DJ Bonebrake, and bassist Bobby Permanent.
