EX PISTOLS - Land Of Hope & Glory (Virgina Records – 12 PISTOL 76) UK 1984 45RPM 12" (Punk, Symphonic Rock) This is not a Sex Pistols release.

Punk band formed by producer/bassist Dave Goodman in 1979.
The first Ex Pistols release "Land of Hope and Glory" was a punk rock version of the old English classic "Land of Hope and Glory" by Edward Elgar. Not only did it confuse fans but it also caused legal trouble between Dave Goodman and the publisher of the original piece, Boosey & Hawkes.

The blatant similarity in name to that of a certain other punk band coupled with the visual style of record sleeves caused some confusion amongst fans and pundits, as well as disapproval and a lawsuit by that other band, Sex Pistols.
