| vinyl: NM (mint-) | cover: NM (mint-) - Psychedelic Rock
Reissued for the first time, licensed from Belter Portugal, plus three bonus tracks taken from non-LP 45s released in 1970-71, in the same musical style.
Soul duo formed by the Portuguese brothers Antonio Lameirinhas (Jess (9)) and Fernando Lameirinhas (James), who had settled in Belgium. They were initially backed by The J.J. Band (named after them), and became the house band in club Les Cousins in Brussels. In 1968 the backing band went their own way, wanting to perform more jazz-oriented music. The brothers then teamed up with American pianist Scott Bradford. The duo released three studio albums and is best known for their international hit Move (1967). When further succes stayed out, the brothers dropped the "Jess & James" moniker and moved to Amsterdam to pursue other musical directions.
