LES TEMPS HEREUX - En Ces Jours (Not On Label 76 501) France 1972 LP
vinyl: NM (mint-) | cover: NM (mint-)
"Les Temps Heureux" (The Happy Times) made only a tiny demo pressing in 1972, France, under the title "En Ces Jours" (In Those Days).
This quite unknown French band released just this one album in their active period. The album was originally a private pressing and it’s a very rare collector’s item nowadays. Luckily there is the high quality reissue by Shadoks available for those who need this record into their shelves. I’m not one of those people however. While this album has enjoyable moments it’s still nothing huge as a totality.
The album is a mix of soft acoustic psych folk and more acid psych rock oriented material. In my opinion the B-side is clearly the stronger side here and I find the A-side to be a rather mediocre one. As a totality this album deserves three stars I think. It’s definitely nothing exceptional but it still includes a couple of good tracks. However I would never rate this album with a better rating than three stars out of five….by…CooperBolan ….~

This is great acid folk with poetry lyrics, loner vibes, Psychedelic guitars &well crafted songs.
4 guys hanging out night by night to create their first album in a basement studio following
their one and only ambition.
This album is very special and became instantly one of the real musical surprises for us.
It beats most UK albums of the same style….~
